Bates Collision opened its doors for the first time in the summer of 1982. The Wattsburg Road facility was a small four bay garage. Over the years, the business enlarged & moved to State Street and then to Wesleyville. In 2012, when owner Jack Bates realized the business was outgrowing the Wesleyville site, he began to plan for future expansion. He found and purchased over time the ideal location in Harborcreek Township on Buffalo Road.

Jack began the design process by enlisting the help of all of his employees. For four and a half years they spent many hours at the drawing board and countless hours discussing the design until a concept was created. A host of professionals: architects, structural & civil engineers, and contractors were hired to transform the cardboard model into the brand new facility that is now open.

We pride ourselves not only on the work we do, but on the cleanliness and appearance of our shop, as well as our commitment to a cleaner environment. Because of this, in 2010, we switched to waterborne paints, a “greener” alternative that reduces our carbon footprint and helps make our community safer from pollutants.
